The Mars Volta – De-Loused In The Comatorium- Silver double LP - GSL75
From my own personal collection, I picked this up at one of their shows in London around the time of it's release (Astoria I reckon, RIP) and it's been on the shelf since then.
It's a beautiful one for the collection, two very hefty, completely silver 12" records, with no labels of any kind on the vinyl. Moderately annoying when you're trying to work out which side you're listening to, but certainly unique!
Played only a few times at most as it's more of a collectors item than one for the audiophiles. Picture discs in general are notoriously lacking in the audio quality, and this is no exception to the rule. But it's a beauty none the less.
The outer sleeve is in very good condition for its age, with only minor dings to the corners which I've photographed here. The surface of the outer sleeve has some minor rub marks from sitting next to other records on the shelf. The vinyl itself is, again, in very good condition - near mint I'd say. The only blemishes visible have been there since day one, and were part of the original pressing method I suspect. I've tried to photograph these too, but they're very minor shifts in the sliver colour and little marks at the sides for example.
Comes with the original fold out production notes (mini poster) too. Again, in near mint condition.
If you want more information on this limited edition vinyl, check out the page on discogs for it, which has lots more detail:
I'll send this with NO POSTAGE COSTS, because I'm nice like that. Dispatched with Royal Mail, signed for service.
