Record and Sleeve Grading
Mint(M) – Vinyl and Sleeve - Never been played and sealed.
Excellent(EX) Vinyl - Light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times and tiny signs of normal use. Sleeve – No marks or blemishes, creases or splits.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Vinyl – Might contain some light scuffs or marks but nothing that would affect listening to the record. Sleeve – In good order but might contain slight ring wear, a slight mark left by a sticker or possibly someone’s signature on the back.
Very Good (VG) Vinyl – The record has been played and contains light scratches that might cause the odd click or pop but is still pleasant to listen to. Sleeve – In reasonable order, might have the odd crease or ring wear possibly someone’s signature written on the front.
Good(G) Vinyl – The record has been played but not loved, scratched and marked, that would definitely affect the audio of the record. Sleeve – May contain a split, marked badly, soiled. If I sell a record as Good I would reflect that in the price and would recommend you only use the record or sleeve as a filler in your collection until something better comes along.
