ABOUT THE RECORD Aggie's Telephone Gems is by Marisha Data, who was inducted into the Polka Music Hall of Fame in 1974. In her thirty years in the radio and recording field, Marisha Data was also an opera and concert singer and a comedienne. Gifted with a great voice and acting talent, she used her abilities well. A soloist in the Midwest and San Carlo Opera Company, she sang in Il Travatore, Hansel And Gretel, Barber Of Seville and other operas. She appeared in Chicago's Grant Park concerts and did summer stock for two seasons at Music In The Round in Skokie, Illinois in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Her appearances took her to Toledo, Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, New York and Canada. As a recording artist sher performed on Rondo, Capitol, Dana, Ridgemoor and the Chicago Polka labels. The radio programs allowed her to use her musical and acting abilities and to help others. To Marisha, her talents were tools to help others. The charities she helped through her radio program were many and widely varied. All the charities were helped without expectation of pay or recognition.
