The 1910 Fruitgum Company was put together by legendary producers Jerry Kasenetz and Jeff Katz. The group consisted of musicians including, vocalists Mark Gutkowski and Joey Levine (who also sang with Ohio Express); guitarists Frank Jeckell, Pat Karwan, and Chuck Travis; percussionists Rusty Oppenheimer and Floyd Marcus.

The group had three big hits: "Simon Says", "1,2,3, Red Light" and "Indian Giver".

Along with recommended albums by the Lemon Pipers & Ohio Express, Indian Giver by The Fruitgum Company take on a nice collection of popsike & catchy poprocker tunes that defy the putdowns -- this stuff was actually quite crafted and was a formidable product that sounds better today than 40+ years ago... "Indian Giver" being the last 1910 Fruitgum Company album, and their best....Candy Castle a psych-pop highlight...
