I'm starting 2020 off with some more 78's from my collection. So please keep a look out for my listings.
Johnny “Peanuts” Wilson was an original member of Roy Orbison’s TEEN KINGS.
He can be heard playing Rhythm Guitar on both the Je-Wel & SUN issues of Ooby Dooby.
CAST IRON ARM was recorded in the Norman Petty Studios in May 1957 and includes two members of the TEEN KINGS, Billy Pat Ellis on drums and Jack Kennelly on bass. It is also thought that Roy Orbison played guitar on the track.
The track was issued on the Brunswick label in America and on Coral in the UK some time in November 1957.
The 78 has many light scuffs and marks - it plays with the occasional click and pop. But on the plus side there are no chips or cracks, it is flat and the record plays loud and bright. The centre labels are nice and clean as you can see from the scans.
