NIRVANA BLEACH – SUPER SUPER RARE ICEBERG – GLACIAL WHITE colored vinyl edition. The most common story behind this albumis: This item was going to be the second pressing, but the vinyl color did not satisfy Sub Pop. They’d hoped for marbledwhite vinyl, but when they received a batch from the manufacturer, the vinylhad a light green tint (sometimes called "glacial white or Iceberg).” These LPs were NEVER RELEASED, but some have trickled into circulation. How many exist is unknown, but the most common number stated as pressed is less than 200. I purchased this backin the late 90s from a guy in Seattle who told me he got it from JackEndino. Who knows, but the fact Sub Popnever released this edition and the only people who had access to it were atSub Pop or closely associated with Sub Pop make this is as likely a story as anythingelse. You won’t find a legitimate SubPop Nirvana record as rare as this item. If you’re a Nirvana collector, this is a “Holy Grail” item. Since I purchased this copy in the late 90s,I’ve only seen one other listed on Ebay… that doesn’t mean I may have missedone or two, but you may have to wait another 20 plus years to see, yet alone get you hands on another one of these super rare Bleach albums again.
