ALLEN TOUSSAINT'S first LP from 1958 was entitled THE WILD SOUND OF NEW ORLEANS BY TOUSAN.  And, along with Fats Domino, Toussaint did usher in a new wild sound in New Orleans.  Domino veered more to the Rock side, while Toussaint veered more towards the jazz side of French/cajun music that might be equally at home in a carnival, church service,  or vaudeville stage as on a teen dance floor.  He took from the traditions of artists like Louis Armstrong and or Professor Longhair, and brought a new energy, focus, and direction to the sound.  A barrelhouse juke joint R&B piano style that's infectiously fun.  A New Orleans sort of jump blues.   Allen Toussaint's music would be as wild as the Mardi Gras.  And- This was just the beginning.
This is a very nice clean copy with the cover showing some handling, and rubbing from age. The seams and spine are all great, but with the exception of a 1" split top seam by the opening.  The back cover is very nice, with some slight toning from age.  The LP plays mostly a strong VG+, really beautiful sound and play.
