GALT MacDERMOT     Shapes of Rhythm      Kilmarnock (CDN) mg - 4186
Up for auction is a pretty rare copy of the only official (1999) reissue (to date) of Galt MacDermot's 1966 classic jazz-funk "Shapes of Rhythm." Heavily sampled throughout the ages, this early jazz-funk quartet classic is certainly a groundbreaker, and holds up well thanks to the brilliant playing of all involved, including Bernard Purdie. Bought this used shortly after release, and played it once or twice. Pretty rare in any form, this lp.

DEAD WAX INFO:  Side 1 has K-1001-A EUROPADISK DMM NY USA 35790& all etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has  K-1001-B EUROPADISK DMM NY USA 35790 & all etched into the dead wax. 1999 Canadian Kilmarnock reissue, the only official re-release of this title, approved by Mr. MacDermot. Pretty rare lp.   VINYL VISUAL: VG+ at best with several light marks. Nothing deep. As new gloss and labels. Could maybe use a cleaning.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG+ and much better with EXCELLENT fidelity. Light marking is of no aural consequence. A few soft ticks here and there, but nothing to distract from the listen of the lp.
COVER VISUAL: VG+ with full shrink on. Some feathering wear at opening where shrink has receded some (see pictures). Some corner bumping, and corner wear at the opening edge where shrink has receded. Overall really nice, actually.
Comes with heavy Audiophile style plastic inner. Don't know if it is original or not   DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING
HELLO ALL. My name is Jamie, and I have been collecting records steadily for over 45 years.  After a bit of a respite from selling on Ebay, I am back and will be selling a ton of stuff over the next few years. My tastes run all over the map, so there will be something for everyone. All opened items will be visually AND aurally graded. All Dead Wax info will be listed. Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item)
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER).             Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g.
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.
If you have issue with an item, PLEASE work with me to achieve an outcome that will be to your satisfaction. I do offer full refunds (excluding cost to get it back to me), on any item that is not satisfactory.       SINCE SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE (Thank You Canada Post), I will rarely list gatefolds or multi-items for sale overseas. IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST. Since a lot of the stuff that I will be selling is of higher end quality, rarely will things be offered overseas. Sorry folks. Again, I can consider requests on an item-by-item basis. THANKS FOR READING, everyone.       Occasionally I will be selling rare and collectible CDs. Shipping obviously will be much less, around $5 CANADIAN within North America.
