CONDITION DETAILS Import from Europe. Made in Germany. Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Gate-fold cover looks great; a few creases near edges; very light-scuffing and surface impressions (front/back/inner-gate); slight discoloration (front/back); tiny surface abrasion near center right on back. Inner-sleeve is original (poly-lined paper). Spine is easy-to-read with mild-wear. Minor shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; some wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use. 1984 pressing with red label. (Not a cut-out.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Other Voices, by Doors, was the first album released by the band following the death of the lead singer Jim Morrison in July 1971. Tracks for the album had begun before Morrison's death and the band hoped that Morrison would return from Paris to finish them. The surviving members initially considered replacing Morrison with a new singer but instead, Krieger and Manzarek took over lead vocal duties. Other Voices was recorded from June to August 1971, and was released in October 1971. It featured the single Tightrope Ride, which received some radio airplay. The trio began performing again with additional supporting members on November 12, 1971 at Pershing Municipal Auditorium in Lincoln, Nebraska, followed by shows in Carnegie Hall on November 23, 1971, and the Hollywood Palladium on November 26, 1971.
