Led Zeppelin II Robert Ludwig hot mix - Rare Presswell (ST-A-691671PR) pressing with 1841 Broadway, New York labels - RL on side one / RL SS on side two in the runout. The "RL" should appear in both runouts. 

Only vinyl with "RL" in both runouts  are the true "RL" pressings.

Original rare US 1969 1st pressing (with the 1841 Broadway, New York address on the labels), featuring Robert Ludwig's "hot" mastering on both sides. These were withdrawn early because the high bass levels caused low-grade cartridges to mistrack, leading people to return the album on the belief that it was defective. Another engineer was then hired to recut a much less "hot" version of the album, and that is the far more common version.

This Vinyl still has a great gloss sheen even after over 50 years, it has multiple light hairline marks on both sides and a scuff mark or two. It’s hard to find a copy of this above VG+ condition and if you do it will command a very high price.

There is background noise in the quieter parts but the music punches through and overall it’s an interesting and enjoyable listen. I’ve graded each track as you can see below as two of the tracks let the LP down but they still give out some power. So overall it’s in the G or G- Category but that probably doesn’t tell the whole story. I will be very happy to receive this piece of rock history back if you feel I haven't described it correctly.

The cardboard on these US gatefolds are incredibly thick compared with the UK ones. It's not been written on

but edge wear and damage from a removed sticker on top right hand corner marks it down. The spine is worn but 

still very strong, these gatefolds are well made and the spine will withstand many more years of opening and closing. Overall this original correct issue gatefold sleeve is in G+ condition. Hopefully the photos give an indication of the condition of the sleeve.

Very clean labels. 

Original correct issue colour company paper inner has not been written on but has creases and 2 inch split on bottom and left edge.
