THE BEATLES FOR SALE LP, This copy looks to be a 1972 Pressing with BLUE EMI/ODEON LABELS. It was originally released in Germany in 1964. This LP was the Beatles fourth LP in the UK, but not released in America until 1987. The LP was recorded at the peak of BEATLEMANIA. They would take a month break from the recording sessions in London to play shows in America. While there, they met Bob Dylan, who not only turned them on to smoking pot, but also implored John to write lyrics that had greater meaning. It would be a transitional moment for them in pointing towards a new direction.
This copy is in great condition. The VINYL has full gloss, and looks and plays almost as new all around. Someone wrote "WBS30" in the runoff for some reason. The COVER is very nice with vivid colors, solid bottom seam and spine. The top seam has some fraying for about 2" by the spine. The cover top left has a few small tack holes, and the cover has a few handling bends and mild ring wear, both that you'd have to look closely to see. The back cover also has some ring wear, light handling, and some toning from age. The sound of the vinyl is just great. It's a copy to play, and play loud. It looks and plays VG++ with a touch of background sounds between some tracks only, and a beautiful GERMAN audiophile soundstage.
