DESCRIPTION

Chronicle - “…Like A Message From The Stars” All Ears Records CH 11477 (Stereo) from 1977. Hard to find Original Progressive / Space Rock album from Chronicle a great Japanese progressive rock group of the mid 1970s. Featuring Kei Ishikawa, Kenji Mishiro, Nobuo Hotchi and Osamu Takeda! On the tiny and long defunct All Ears label out of Hollywood, CA! Lyrics are in Japanese except for the title track which is in English but Includes the Original Lyric / All Ears Label History and Promo Insert Sheet with English translations. No Cutouts or Promo markings!

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is slight basic ring and edge shelf wear and corner softening / wear - nothing very serious although there is a 5” spot of slightly more serious wear along the top edge. Still super solid with no splits, stains, tears, writing, cutouts, etc. and I would rate it at VG+ overall. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking lightly played. If you look closely you can spot a couple light scuffs and super light hairlines. Plays great Near Mint all through. I am calling it EX to account for the very slight visual flaws but plays way better and might be further improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The Labels show a couple light spindle trails and there is a name written on the A-side but are otherwise Near Mint. The Insert Sheet is Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. I provide Play Grades as a courtesy but only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
