The Doors - Strange Days LP 1967 first Monarch pressing, Elektra Records EKS-74014
First pressing - The info below is from Discogs, and this record has everything it mentions.
True first pressings, have '(MON-1)' in runout of side two. 'MON-1' side two mastering (at Monarch Record Mfg.) is reportedly closer to the master than subsequent issues, and does sound brighter with better detail. The MON-1 side two mastering is also notable for a defect at the beginning of the side -- a fluttering drop-out in one channel during the guitar intro to "People Are Strange". For early, but not first, gold label Monarch issues that have "(MON-2)" or higher in the runout of side two.
A lyrics inner sleeve was included.
The left side of the label has no text at all. (see photos)
'Stereo' in a broad font on the right hand side of the spindle hole. (see photos)

Matrix/runout etch side A- EKS 7401A, stamp of "MR" in circle, (MON-1) triangle 11050 Matrix/runout etch side B- EKS 7401B, stamp of "MR" in circle, (MON-1) triangle 11050-X
