Here's a masterpiece MILES DAVIS LP, KIND OF BLUE originally pressed in 1959. Widely regarded as one of the greatest albums in Jazz history. Not only do you get Miles, but also a young John Coltrane, Bill Evans, and Cannonball Adderley. They would all have huge careers of their own. And, not to mention Paul Chambers, Wynton Kelley, and Jimmy Cobb.. All superstars who would have incredible careers besides for this immortal LP.
This is the COLUMBIA 2 Eye MONO with the "GUARANTEED HIGH FIDELITY" at the bottom label. This copy is a 1965 MONO pressing. This copy is a MISPRINT copy. The folks at Columbia must have been high. And, How would you like to be Cannonball Adderley, who played his heart out on this major LP, only to have seen his name spelled wrong on the front and back covers... This is a wonderful copy, and IMO, a great opportunity to grab a 2 EYE mono at a fraction of the cost of a 6 EYE. The 2 Eye's sound spectacular
The VINYL is in gorgeous condition, There are faint spindle marks on the labels. The LP has retained all its glorious gloss, and is in great condition, except for one faint mark on side 1 that is about 1" between the last 2 tracks. It's not deep enough to be heard, but is visible. There is a very low underbelly of background at times, but nowhere near the level of the music, and at times there is no background at all. The music does really pop on this pressing, even more than the 6 Eye Mono. The COVER is in solid shape with great front cover colors. There is some wear that against the blacks seems to stand out more than usual. There are no splits, but the bottom seam has some wear, the top seam has a 1/8" hit. The spine and back cover are stunningly perfect.
The VINYL is fully glossy and gorgeous looking. It plays VG+ with a beautiful music sound, but with surface sounds.
