    WAYNE SHORTER     SPEAK NO EVIL   Blue Note (BST 84194)
Up for auction is an ok starter stereo Liberty play copy of Wayne Shorter's 1965 Blue Note release, "Speak No Evil". To some, his best. Featuring 2 of his Miles Davis Quintet band mates (Hancock and Carter). Includes maybe his most poignant ballad, "Infant Eyes". Essential mid-60s Blue Note lp.    

DEAD WAX INFO:  Side 1 has BNST-84194-A (2) etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has BNST-84194-B (2) etched into the dead wax. Technically I guess a 3rd pressing?   VINYL VISUAL: G and much better with lots of handling marks and scuffing. Nothing horribly deep. I have tried to restore this as best as possible. Doesn't appear to have been played a whole lot, just not treated very well......a damn shame.
VINYL PLAY GRADE: VG AT BEST OVERALL with GREAT fidelity for a lot of the lp (especially during ensemble sections). There is a fair bit of light popping throughout, but definitely still listenable for the most part. "Infant Eyes" suffers the worst fate as it is a very quiet ballad, and the noise is somewhat more noticeable. Fairly conservatively graded (and priced). Not trashed, but not very well handled either.   
COVER VISUAL: VG at best with general seam, spine and corner wear. Minor water damage bottom left corner. Taped seams and spine.

Play grade is done on a Thorens TD 165 through Yamaha amplification and JBL reference headphones (treble set high so there will be no surprises when you get the item). 
ALL ITEMS WILL BE SHIPPED WITH PROPER MAILERS AND EXTRA PADDING, PARTICULARLY AT THE CORNERS. I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER).             Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g. 
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
