Elvis Presley    Elvis Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite    RCA Four Channel Stereo Q 8 Cartridges  Volumes 1 & 2    Volume 1: RCA PQ8-2140   Volume 2: RCA PQ8-2141  Both Volumes come in a paper slip case. These two volumes feature Elvis Live In Concert Via Satellite at the Honolulu International Center  12:30 AM Sunday Jan. 14/1973.  Manufactured and released in Canada in 1973. 
Four Channel Q 8 Tapes were first released in April of 1970. They were first called Quad 8 and later Q8. RCA and Columbia Abandoned Quadrophonic recordings by 1976.
These Quad 8 track cartridges will play on a regular 8 track player but will sound differently because only two tracks of the four available tracks can be listened to at one time. Recommended that this be played on a player designed and built to play quadraphonic tapes. As music technology advanced, the 8-track magnetic tape cartridge was created in 1964. This precursor to the cassette tape was popular in the U.S., U.K., Canada and Australia from the mid 1960s through the late 1970s, so it's no wonder that Elvis would have had his music distributed on this format during that time.  While rarely heard, the 4 channel effect can be quite spectacular. Quadrophonic recordings are often highly regarded among music collectors. Eight-track cartridges were phased out of retail stores by late 1982 and into early 1983. Some titles were still available as eight-track tapes through  and  (BMG) Music Service Record Clubs until late 1988.  (Tandy Corporation) continued to sell blank eight-track cartridges for home recording use under its  brand until 1990.  These 4 Channel Tapes will play on a standard 8 track player but will only play properly in a four channel Quad 8 Track player.

Paper Slip Cases: Good +   They have shelf wear/rubbing / some bends / creases
Plastic Clam Shells: Mint Minus
Tapes: VG++   I am grading these visually since  I do not have a four channel player to sound test these two tapes and I have not played these tapes since the early 80's but the pads and rollers look excellent and they should play just great
