DONOVAN  LP BOX A GIFT FROM A FLOWER TO A GARDEN an ORIGINAL 1967 US pressing on the EPIC Label, CAT#B2N-171.  Donovan went with The Beatles and their other pals to have a religious experience with the Maharishi at his ashram in India.  They preached that TM, Transidental Meditation, was a better and natural alternative to drug use.  Books and films could be made about what happened there, but one of the things that transpired was a burst of creativity.  The Beatles wrote 18 songs that would become The White Album, and a couple that wound up on Abbey Road.  Even Ringo got in on the action, and wrote his first song there.  Donovan wrote the songs for this LP there, they left the ashram in August '67, and Donovan was recording these songs in November.  One LP was acoustic and children's songs, and the other more electric pop.  They were originally released both as separate albums, and in this box together.  The box is significant, as I believe this was the first box released for any rock artist.  Something that nowadays is associated with extra cuts that are rare, and never made the LP.  A box set that's hard to find in great shape.
COVER  VG+  The cover is in great shape.  Has some light rippling on the front cover.  The top seam by the spine is separated for 1/4".  The front photo is by the same photographer that shot Are You Experienced cover.  The back photo is in India with the Maharishi.  Inside the box are original pasted on song lists with their respective LPs.  
VINYL NEAR MINT- ELECTRIC POP LP   A great playing copy, full gloss, and looks and plays NM.               VG    CHILDREN'S LP. has tics from a light scratch.  Some copies came with a 12 page insert, this one does not have that.  The original grey inners are  in solid VG+ condition, and there's a paper inset that says "ASSEMBLED BY 6184"
