CHUCK BERRY WITH THE STEVE MILLER BAND- LP LIVE AT THE FILLMORE a US 1967 STEREO PRESS, CAT# SR61138. Chuck Berry is the granddaddy of Rock. He was the first guitar god in Rock, which became a genre in 1954. But not only was his guitar work great, he also has the flair for performing. His live recordings are often overlooked, but shouldn't be. There were actually very few live records that Rock bands released in the 70s. You can almost count them on a hand or 2. For some reason, this doesn't usually make that conversation, but it should. The recording is intimate with less crowd noise than most others. And for God sake, it's Chuck Berry at the legendary Fillmore with Steve Miller's band backing him. Maybe it was the year (1967), maybe it was the venue (Fillmore), or maybe it was the light show, and the drugs... But Berry veers more towards psychedelia than any of his other recordings. And the jams are great!! What a treasure. I'm not sure I've seen a better copy than this. The covers are typically worn to death, and the vinyl are usually beater copies. This one is the best I've ever seen. Condition is king!!!
COVER NEAR MINT It is stunning, and with a top right promo hole. These types of promo holes were actually used as promotional records. They were not used to discount the record in the stores. This cover is gorgeous.
VINYL NEAR MINT. The record plays as well as the cover looks. A real stunner.
OG INNER. You guessed it-- NEAR MINT. It's the whole package
