Here's an amazing copy of this classic WHO LP.  A 1967 OG US MONO PRESSING of THE WHO'S LP HAPPY JACK.  It's on the US DECCA LABEL, and this is an early pressing.  The MATRIX ID on this copy are exactly those of the WHITE LABEL PROMO. This copy is not the WLP, see photos.  However The WLP copies were typically pressed a couple months in advance of the first pressings, and so this indicates an early pressing of this copy.  It's feasible that this copy was originally pressed along with the WLP copies, but they put a black label on it.  In any case these can be interesting mysteries we uncover, as we uncover information about  an album.  
So the LP HAPPY JACK was released in 1967 as an LP in the US to capitalize on the success of their top 40 song HAPPY JACK. This LP was originally released as A QUICK ONE (the bands's second studio record) in 1966.  This LP differs from all other WHO LPs because everyone in the band is involved in songwriting.  It's not a Pete show, and so it stands as a unique Who LP in that regard. 
The VINYL plays beautifully NEAR MINT.  There are no spindle marks, and the labels look beautiful. No background sound, no any sound except The Who.   It's not a sharp - in your face mono, there's some great nuance to the sound.  Super clean OG Mono's are hard to come by.
The COVER is also beautiful, but has Avery minor blemishes; Bottom right corner has a small ding (see photo), Spine has a 1.5" tear the the bottom corner, back cover has lite toning along the opening side.  All in all, this is a beautiful cover from 1967.
OG INNER is in great shape with vivid colors, no splits, some typical corner folds, and a touch of toning.
