Here's an amazing copy of this great PRETTY THINGS LP PARACHUTE.  A 1970 OG US STEREO PRESSING.  It's on the US RARE EARTH LABEL, and this is an OG 1970 pressing.  Every era of The Pretty Things is great, but for me, this album is their crowning achievement.  It kicks A** from the beginning to the end, and is raw and powerful, just like you want your rock LP to be.  This was also just prior to the band signing a record deal with Led Zeppelin's SWANN SONG RECORDS.  The Pretty's had a career that paralleled that ion the Kinks and The Stones.  The difference is they never broke out to worldwide fame.  But they weren't trying, and I'm sure they have no regrets.  Dick Taylor went to art school with the Stones, and was. offered to be the bass player for the Stones, and he turned them down to do his thing with the Pretty's.  They also get credit for producing the first ROCK OPERA in SF SORROW.  One of my favorite bands, and if their albums were around more, I'd be selling them.  However, their lack of breakout "success" also meant fewer LPs sold.  This one is a treasure in my library, and if you don't have it, I strongly suggest it.

The VINYL plays beautifully NEAR MINT.  There are no spindle marks, and the labels look beautiful. No background sound, no any sound except The Pretty Things.
The COVER is VG++ and also beautiful, but shows a touch of handling with a paper tear bottom right corner, faint ring wear, couple little hairline creases around the edges.  However, no splits, and the colors are great, and inside gatefold is beautiful.

COVER. VG++ VINYL.    NEAR MINT
