OVERVIEW

One of the most significant collections in Trojan’s immense catalogue, the ‘The Trojan Story’ album dramatically changed the perception of Jamaican music among the general British public outside of the country’s Afro-Caribbean population. 

Prior to its release in 1971 there had never been an attempt to present a comprehensive anthology of the island’s musical development, with vintage ska, rock steady and reggae widely regarded as obsolete and of precious little merit.
The treble disc set, which became an instant best-seller, had been the brainchild of Trojan’s label manager and Black Music fan, Rob Bell, who, assisted by Trojan stalwarts, Dandy, Webster Shrowder and Joe Sinclair, produced arguably the most significant Jamaican music retrospectives of all time.
Now, 50 years following its original release, this hugely influential album has been revisited by Bell, along with reggae musician, Rusty Zinn, who have succeeded in improving what was already an almost perfect collection.
Presented in the original eye-catching artwork, the set is further enhanced by a highly illustrated 50-page booklet in which Bell relates the stories behind the release and the 50 tracks featured on the compilation

Prior to shipping we may carefully open item allowing us to fully protect vinyl and to reduce seam splits caused by pressure in transit,this is best practice and is only done to insure you receive the item in the best possible condition. 

PAYMENT INFORMATION

We no longer accept cash or cheques for our ebay sales ,all out Buy It Now listings do require immediate payment and buyers to be aware although item might be in your basket it can still be purchased by another member until paid for.

For all winning bids on our auction items we require payment no later than 7 days after close of auction, we understand life happens so if there is going to be a potential problem with payment please contact and we will do our best to help. ebay automatically opens an unpaid item dispute on our behalf once the 7 days has elapsed therefore if we don't hear from you we cannot help.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

All items are shipped fully protected , we only use professional materials.

Please remember we may open the LP to reduce seam splits and damage - as above this is only done so you receive the item in the best possible condition

For all orders we have a 24 hour turnaround between Monday & Friday - weekend orders will ship on the Monday - during busy times it may take us 48 hours to ship however in these cases we will upgrade your postage free of charge.

UK Buyers - We still currently offer free shipping on all our items including multiple purchases coupled with reduced rates for 1st Class & 1st class recorded , remember no matter which postage you choose at checkout all additional items are postage free and therefore if buying more than one item from us its advantageous to upgrade from free as costs per LP will be minimal. All items need to be paid for at the same time to take advantage of any postal discounts, we are unable to process discounts at a later date.

Please remember as per ebay guidelines the estimate delivery day is just that , its not a guarantee and will vary during holidays and bad weather - we always recommend that if item is a present or  needed by a specific date to upgrade at checkout to a quicker service - a small cost for piece of mind.

In addition if the total weight of your order does exceed 2kg ( could be one boxset ) then we will at our expense be upgrading your order to a fully tracked & insured reputable courier , courier used will be at our discretion , delivery time based on postage selected at checkout and please remember if out a card maybe left for you to rearrange delivery.

RETURNS POLICY

We must be notified of any returns within 7 days of receipt.

For all returns where you wish to have a full refund please use ebay's automated returns  - details will be found under your purchased item

For all returns where you wish to have a replacement ( where available ) please contact us first where we can advise

For all " change your mind " orders you the buyer will be responsible for all postage costs for returning any item(s). Returns must arrive in the original manufacturers packaging where applicable.

Brand new sealed LP's must be returned posted and packaged in an appropriate way to avoid damage and unopened and unplayed ( unless return is subject to playback issues )

Used Vinyl can be returned if the item is not as described. Please see our grading page for a detailed description of our grading structure, used items being returned must include any inserts and promotional material that accompanied it.
