This is an ORIGINAL 1958 U.S. MERCURY RECORDS LP NOT A LATER OR RECENT REISSUE) titled 'Chantilly Lace' containing twelve fun roots rock-n-roll tunes from J.P. Richardson, AKA The Big Bopper.  It is Mercury Records U.S. catalog number MG 20402, black labels, thick heavy vinyl deep groove pressing.  Record comes packaged inside the cover in a stock Mercury Records inner sleeve.

Condition of record is better than is usually seen with original; pressings of this LP - Condition of record is a high VG++/EX with all original gloss and a very few light and barely visible surface marks which cannot be felt and will not affect play.  This record is a thick vinyl deep groove pressing that plays with a small amount of very light surface noise.  Condition of cover is VG with the main flaws being some wrinkles and light brown staining on the back cover slick; cover also has some ring and contact wear, a few very slight wrinkles, and some wear along the edges and on the corners - Cover has no splits, tears, or stickers.
