NIRVANA - Live on KAOS-FM, Seattle - 1987 - LP
[Out Of Order / Toy Train Crash Backside Bone Beefcake]
Radio Broadcast from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA

You are bidding on a brand new copy of the Live on KAOS-FM, Seattle - 1987 LP by Nirvana.  Somehow, a white vinyl version of this unofficial release ended up on the official Record Store Day 2016 list.  This is a sealed black vinyl copy from the same year, pressed from those same RSD stampers and released by the same "import" record label that issued the RSD version.

Aside from the Record Store Day anomaly, this is also probably the best early recording of Nirvana available - so early, they were still called Skid Row and featured Aaron Burckhard on drums.  Raw and raunchy songs, but a decent sounding document of a young underground band, courtesy of the radio broadcast quality recording.  So good, the band used this session as a demo to book other shows.  The performance starts out with three songs that were later recorded for Nirvana's debut album, Bleach.  The rest of the set is filled out by outtake material, including the Sub Pop 200 track "Spank Thru," and tunes that wound up on the rarities compilations Incesticide and With The Lights Out

Notes on the Back Cover:
"The visceral power of one of the most iconic bands in rock and roll first emerged in Aberdeen WA in the mid-1980s. In amongst the now revered and widely recognised band scene in Seattle during this period, were Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselik and Aaron Burckhard jointly known as Skid Row. Close friends of The Melvins, they were about to embark on a journey that would take Cobain and Novoselik to world stardom two years later.
Their session for KAOS FM at Evergreen State College in 1987 was also their first demo tape and as such, Nirvana’s first ever recording session. How pivotal these recordings are in terms of rock history is not really open to question, it’s evidently obvious, but it’s also a priceless opportunity to witness a time and place in rock and roll that can never be repeated.
Interference very proudly presents the entire original KAOS-FM broadcast of Skid Row (Nirvana) live in session from Evergreen State College, Olympia WA on 17th April 1987. Professionally re-mastered original FM broadcast with background liners, interviews and rare archival photos."
