original 1997 first and only HARDCOVER edition/printing with dust-jacket signed on title page by author Dan Motavina. Apparently limited to 1,000 (says so in the colophon), though some copies have a numbering sticker on the jacket front and some do not. (This copy does not.)

Included as well is a laid-in letter (also signed by author Matovina) apologizing to buyers for the shipping delay, thanking them for their 'patience' ("most of you", anyway), and also stating that he was 'shorted' by the printer, so some of the dust jackets being shipped with brand new hardcover copies are defective; and if your copy is one of those, then 'sorry', those defective jackets are the last there are, and cannot be replaced. Apparently, the present copy offered here is one that was NOT shipped with a defective jacket. This copy has been stored safely with jacket in protective broadart.
