This is an ORIGINAL 1963 EARLY STEREO PRESSING OF THE 1963 IMPULSE RECORDS LP titled 'Duke Ellington Meets Coleman Hawkins'.  It is Impulse Records U.S. catalog number A-26 / AS-26, think cardboard gatefold cover, heavy rigid vinyl pressing.  Record comes packaged inside the cover in its original Impulse Records stock inner sleeve with pictures of other then-current Impulse Records LP releases.
Album was recorded at Van Gelder Studios, Englewood Cliffs NJ, on August 18th 1962 - The runout areas bear the 'VAN GELDER' machine stamp.
I recognize there are a number of label variations with this LP, associated with the different early pressings - Rather than try to discern myself exactly which pressing is on offer here I have included images of both labels so that the buyer may make this determination himself or herself.

Condition of record is a real nice high VG+ with just a couple of visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Condition of cover is also a high VG+ with the lamination beginning to come up at a couple of the corners, no other real flaws.   Impulse Records stock inner sleeve is nice, crisp with no wrinkles, splits, or any other real flaws This LP would be a nice addition to any jazz record collection!  $3.85 SHIPPING via USPS Media Mail.  SORRY, NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE U.S.   BUYER PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH - IT PROBABLY WILL NOT GET HERE! I will give an immediate refund (less shipping) upon return of the LP in the above stated condition if buyer is dissatisfied for any reason. Good luck!
