This is the second of these that I have listed on eBay. The first sold quickly. Here's the story on this specific copy-
I was a Kate fanatic back in the day. I was thrilled to death when this LP hit the streets. Finally some US success!  I bought extra copies of the colored vinyl in hopes of flipping them. Sadly for me, the price did not rise by much at the time. I stored the extra copies with the rest of my collection- after all, multiple copies of all things Kate are always better than single copies! Fast forward to Stranger Things. You probably wouldn't be reading this if you didn't already know this part of the story.
I'm the original owner. This was NOT my playing copy- it was only opened to verify that it was the colored vinyl version. (The original in-store copies did not tell you whether it was black or marbled.) My asking price is higher than that of most others offering this.  I believe that this copy is worth a bit of a premium. You are receiving the items pictured as follows:
1. An unplayed original pressing, all shrink wrap intact and opened only at the business end. No stains, no soiling, the corners are still sharp. The shrink wrap is split at the top right for about 1" in addition to being open to allow removal of the disc. This is a superior, carefully stored copy. 2. The original inner sleeve with lyrics, credits, and artwork. It is a bit rumpled from bad packing at the record plant, which is visible in the photos. It has no tears or other damage. 3. The original price sticker for the album is attached to the shrink wrap- $7.99, 1986 price. Yeah, those were the days! This record outlasted the store that it came from, Books & Things in Hagerstown, MD.
If this is of interest to you, please bookmark me. I intend to sell other Kate items in the near future, including the RSD 10" HOL, the CD box set, maybe some unreleased items, maybe some unseen photos (unused stills from a Canadian award presentation), and some other stuff. It depends on what I can uncover and what I decide I can part with. I'm still a fan, but I've gone from a young man hopelessly infatuated with Kate to a codger that still loves her but no longer needs to have every variation of every item that has anything to do with her- the performances are enough.
This will be sent insured.
