Drums And Wires XTC 1979 Vinyl Virgin Records Monarch Pressing ST-VA-794393-MO.
XTC’s third studio album. Produced by Steve Lillywhite the sound features expansive drums and guitar. Tracks from this album were a mainstay at the Alternative radio format that was exploding in major U.S. cities at that time. Apparently the Monarch pressing is the best one to get, and if you know this album, you remember how important it was. If you are collecting vinyl now, this album is one to amass.
The vinyl looks clean and still shines. No apparent marks or scratches. The sleeve is VG+, some ring wear, but basically looks the same as it did in 1979. The Virgin Records inner sleeve has a poly lining, with lyrics printed on one side. It shows some wrinkling, but these poly lined inner sleeves have a tendency to wrinkle. One side seam has split wear. But overall, this is a great copy, and in VG+ condition 43 years since release.
