Experimental stereo recordings of the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1931-32 conducted by Leopole Stokowski. Remastered by Ward Marston from the original experimental 78s.
Some of these are from orchestra rehearsals (for example an absolutely incendiary Roman Carnival Overture) and others are from live concerts. Some of the pieces are incomplete. Some are in experimental stereo, some mono.
These records were issued in a limited edition in 1979 by Bell Laboratories.
This LP is factory sealed and therefore MINT.
The Pictures at an Exhibition excerpts are the Ravel orchestration as Stokowski was yet to complete his own orchestration which was done in the late 1930s.
