DESCRIPTION

Frank Sinatra - “Frank Sinatra Conducts Tone Poems Of Color” Capitol Records W-735 (Mono). Hard to find 1960s repressing of the Original 1956 release Easy Listening / Classical Jazz / Pop album from "The Chairman Of The Board” Conducting all Original tunes written by Victor Young, Gordon Jenkins, Billy May, Jeff Alexander, Alec Wilder, Nelson Riddle, Elmer Bernstein and Andre Previn. On the Black with Silver print Capitol “Rainbow Rim" labels with the Capitol Logo at the top and in the Original Cover with NO Cutouts, promo markings or Barcode. This is a Scranton Pressing as indicated by the Matrix / Vinyl Runout markings which read:

CONDITION

The Sleeve is in good shape. There is some fairly slight shelf wear and corner softening/wear. There is a red ink dot in the upper right corner. The bottom seam is part split about 3” from the opening edge. There is a name written in the top right corner on back. Still solid with no stains, cutouts, tears, etc. and would rate VG overall. The Vinyl is in clean Glossy condition looking pretty lightly played. There are some light scuffs, marks and hairlines - no actual scratches i.e. something you can feel with a fingernail. VG visually but plays mostly VG+ or better with just a few spots of slight groove noise and a handful of soft repeating tics - might be further improved with a better cleaning than I can give with my Discwasher brush. The side one label has a name written on the rim but the labels are otherwise Near Mint.

TERMS AND DEFINITIONS

Records are graded to the best of my ability to Goldmine Visual standards. If I provide Play Grades it is done as a courtesy but I only guarantee the Visual Grade. If you are not familiar with this grading system (or even if you think you are!), please check it out before bidding. I have summarized the important (i.e. I think everyone knows what Mint means) points below in Goldmine's words:

Very Good Plus (VG+): Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK.
Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
