RARE MOTORHEAD 1977 Chiswick 1st LP CHROME SILVER SLEEVE A1/B1 FIRST PRESS 

From my collection - This superb copy of the very rare UK first pressing of the classic first Motorhead Album, Chiswick WIK 2, A-1, B-1 matrix suffixes, with the outer sleeve printed black onto chrome/silver board, the very first printing of this sleeve, and only printed in a short run - Record Collector say 600, others 1000 - whatever the number this is your chance to obtain a copy of an extremely rare album!

The front of the unlaminated sleeve would certainly grade as EX. It has has a very small number of light creases on all three sides together with a tiny corner bump/scuff and a little ring-wear. The spine is not pinched and the entry edge has very little wear. These are all minor points on a super sleeve front with a great design and a superbly clear silver background (the swastika is clearly visible on the helmet spike) - grades EX.

The rear of the sleeve does show more ring-wear and this is visible as are a very small number of light creases on all three sides.  Side 1 - Track 2 is misspelt as "Viborator". Graded as EX.

Custom Inner is very nice indeed and grades at least NM!

The vinyl is without doubt NM - Following my purchase - I removed the album from the card inner, played it and then placed it in a polylined sleeve where it has remained for the past 46 years. On play grading today there was some minimal static on the run in on both sides but nothing audible during the remainder of the album including between the tracks. It plays superbly with very strong audio. The surface is very clean, glossy and shiny, no noticeable marks, a superb copy that grades NEAR MINT!

Matrix etchings appear with "A" at 9 o'clock, "WIK-2-A-1" at 12 o'clock and "2" at 3 o'clock. Side B etchings appear in similar positions.

An opportunity to acquire a very rare album in excellent condition.
