Beethoven, 9 Symphonien / 9 Symphonies. Herbert Von Karajan directs Berlin Philharmonic orchestra. DG 2740 172. Released in 1977.
The box show some slight signs of wear, but corners are intact and sharp. Some bubble waves under laminate (please, see the photos). The eight records are near mint - no visible scuffs or hairlines, Plays perfectly. At times during quiet passage some very faint surface noise but nothing nothing interfering with listening experience.
The box includes a 44-page booklet with liner notes for each symphony, black -and-white and color portraits of Karajan and the Berliner Philharmoniker.

Herbert Von Karajan recorded the entire cycle of Beethoven's Nine Symphonies no fewer than four times, including thrice with Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra The first of those three recordings dated back to 1961-1962. The next one dated back to 1977 (the present set) and then again in 1986, if I'm not mistaken.
