Nachdem der Soundtrack zu der großartigen Liebeskomödie Sleepless in Seattle auf Vinyl herausgebracht wurde, nun auch You've Got Mail ! Immerhin haben die beiden Filme die gleiche Autorin / Regisseurin (Nora Ephron), Co-Stars (Tom Hanks und Meg Ryan) und sogar so etwas wie dieselbe Handlung (nur dass es diesmal keine Radiosendung, sondern ein Online-Chatroom ist, der die beiden Turteltauben zusammenbringt, komplett mit hysterisch veralteter Einwahl-E-Mail-Grafik).
Aber am wichtigsten ist, dass wie schon in Schlaflos in Seattle Jimmy Durante das letzte Wort hat (mit You Made Me Love You), aber You've Got Mail enthält auch drei Stücke von Harry Nilsson und Songs von Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Bobby Darin, Roy Orbison und anderen, mit einem Augenzwinkern zur zeitgenössischen Musik mit Sinead O'Connor und den Cranberries.
