Parliament – Funkentelechy Vs. The Placebo Syndrome 1977 US Casablanca Keel Mfg Corp Pressing

Parliament was an American funk band formed in the late 1960s by George Clinton as a flagship act of his P-Funk collective. Evolving out of an earlier vocal group, Parliament became associated with a more commercial and less rock-oriented sound than its sister act Funkadelic. Their work incorporated science-fiction concepts, horn arrangements, synthesizer, and outlandish theatrics. This is their sixth album which was released in 1977.

The custom printed unlaminated card sleeve would certainly grade as EX+. It shows very little sign of handling and storage. The spine is readable and the entry edge shows minimal signs of use. Faint ring wear is visible at a certain angle to the light.

The generic printed Casablanca inner sleeve is undamaged. Grades as EX+.

The very large folded one sided poster is in EX+ to NM condition.

The two page (eight sided) stapled illustrated Cartoon Pack is also in EX+ to NM condition.
The vinyl is without doubt EX and has not been played much - if at all. The Casablanca labels are unmarked with no visible spindle marks. On play grading there was a little light crackle on the run in on both sides but nothing substantial, maybe a rare pop or click (certainly nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the record - even at high volume), during the remainder of the album. It plays superbly with very strong audio. The surface is very clean, glossy and shiny. There is a scuff or similar on Side 2 at the end of Track 1 which does not impact on play. Grades as EX.
This Keel Mfg. Corp. pressing is identified by a the stamped 'union jack' symbol and the etched 'K' in runout etchings.
The Matrix numbers are believed to be
Matrix / Runout (A-Side Runout Etching): B#2 [union jack] NBLP-7084-AS K z  Matrix / Runout (B-Side Runout Etching): B 2 [union jack] NBLP-7084-BS K z Pressing Plant ID (Stamped Sides A/B): [union jack] Pressing Plant ID (Etched Sides A/B): K
An opportunity to acquire a superb album in decent condition overall.
