This 7" vinyl single was purchased on the night of release of the debut single from Oasis's 3rd studio album, Be Here Now.
Receipt attached to single (easily removed) shows purchase at 00:09 on 7th July 1997 as record stores around the UK opened up at midnight for sales to Oasis fans. It sold 162,000 on its first night of release and 370,000 by the end of the week.
Needless to say D'You Know What I Mean went on to be Number One in the UK as it also did in Finland, Ireland and Spain.
