JOHN COLTRANE & JOHNNY HARTMAN 1986 Reissue, Audiophile Press, In Shrink, NM.

A classic album given the audiophile treatment, remastered from the original tapes, and pressed on premium virgin vinyl by KM Records. The album is opened, but still in shrink wrap. There are two stickers on the rear of the cover for the KM pressing and informing that the original liner notes and photos are on the inner sleeve. There is a hole punched through the cover on the left bottom as this copy was distributed to retail for in-store play and review. The vinyl looks pristine, is translucent, and probably played just a few times. The glossy inner sleeve is intact with no losses, tears or splits. In total, a remarkable copy of this 37+ year old reissue.

THE classic ballad jazz album. Tenor Sax maestro John Coltrane only recorded vocal tracks with Johnny Hartman. Jazz master Bob Thiele produced the sessions. The versions of “Lush Life” and “My One And Only Love” are considered the definitive standard. This album is “essential” for a vinyl Jazz collection, and this reissue given the care and treatment the music deserved is worthy for your attention.
