Promo records include any copy of a record that wasn't originally produced for sale to the public. is any copy of a record not meant for retail sale. They're identified differently based on the company. Most will have a white label that says: “Demonstration — Not for Sale, “Audition Record” or “For Radio-TV Use Only.”
Because promos are produced in smaller quantity than releases made available to the general public, they are sometimes considered valuable collectors' items. They are never intended for sale in record stores.
Remember the phrase " Never judge a book by its cover?" This applies here. The outer cover is quite hammered, but the record looks incredible.
OPA signed to Milestone in 1976 and recorded two albums produced by Airto Moreira, the first of which is the classic Goldenwings.
A sensitive mixture of jazz and South American rhythms, the stand-outs are the jazz dance African Bird and Groove.
