I am a vinyl addict and have been buying classic albums for nearly sixty years. During that time I have continually purchased new versions of my original albums. In the case of this superb Doors album I now have the expensive 45 RPM version. On this basis I am now selling some of my original albums from the 60s and 70s, including this classic album by the Doors to make more room in my record cabinet.
With all of the albums I submit for sale on eBay I pride myself in trying to provide as much information as possible and to give an honest appraisal of the album, it’s cover and any other, valid information. In the case of Morrison Hotel I bought this first pressing in 1970 and Dymo Tape was very popular at the time, hence you will see my name on the back of the cover that is a permanent fixture. I like to think this provides provenance for the album as I am the original owner.
The cover of the album I would classify as VG+ bordering on EX for a record that is 53 years old. The original inner sleeve is included and has been replaced with a more protective sleeve. Overall the condition of the cover is EX as there is some creasing on the spine but no other damage on the cover itself.
The condition of the vinyl pressing I classify as EX bordering on EX+. The album has always been played on quality equipment and having played it to provide this description I can confirm there are no scratches, pops or clicks and very little surface noise throughout. The overall sound quality is excellent for such a classic album. It has great dynamics with excellent definition of all the instruments, particularly the bass. There is very little spindle wear and the album still plays superbly.
