CONDITION DETAILS Vinyl plays nicely (play-graded). Cover looks great; a few creases near edges; light-scuffing, tiny surface abrasions, and surface impressions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (photos/lyrics/credits); seams split or partially split. Spine is mostly easy-to-read with some wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge and corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Notch in top-right.)

ABOUT THE RECORD Straight Between the Eyes, by Rainbow, was the band's first with keyboardist David Rosenthal replacing Don Airey. The remaining members were the same as on the previous year's Difficult to Cure album. According to Blackmore, the title came from a meeting with Jeff Beck in 1967, when the two were discussing Jimi Hendrix. Beck told Blackmore that Hendrix's guitar playing hit him "straight between the eyes". In 2022, Straight Between the Eyes was named No. 5 of 'The 25 greatest rock guitar albums of 1982' list in Guitar World. The sleeve-art is by British artist Jeff Cummins and Hipgnosis. The original vinyl issue had the lyrics printed on the inner sleeve.
