Wilhelm Stross was Leader of the legendary Stross-Quartett (Wilhelm Stross violin, Anton Huber violin, Rudolf Metzmacher cello, Valentin Härtl, viola), 'Stross-Quartettand member of the Elly-Ney-Trio with Elly Ney, piano, and Ludwig Hoelscher, cello. he was the teacher of many formidable violin players like Yuko Shiokawa. This is the only available recording with him playing solo repertoire on side B!
