All our records go through 6 steps process Preliminary cleaning with distilled water Deep cleaning with AIVS solution, and vacuumed by VPI Ultrasonic bath, followed by distilled water rinse Zap with static gun Replace inner sleeve with anti-static inner sleeve Replace outer sleeve with new outer sleeve Visual Grading Guidelines Very Good Plus (VG+) Media: Very light scuffs or scratch Sleeve: Very slight ring wear Spindle marks may be present Picture sleeve and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners Slight signs of wear, and may be marred by cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner Very Good (VG) Media: Heavy scuffs Long or several scratches Sleeve: Obvious ring wear Some/Medium wear Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Media: Extreme scuffs Significant scratches Sleeve: Seam splits Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present Poor (P), Fair (F) Media: The record is cracked, badly warped Sleeve: The picture sleeve is water damaged, split on all seams and heavily marred by wear and writing The LP cover barely keeps the LP inside it Inner sleeves are fully split, crinkled, and written upon
