Seven Standard Disc Phonograph Records, mostly one sided, one Harmony record (one sided) and 7 United Records (two sided). They were produced and distributed by Chicago-based phonograph record and talking machine manufacturers who used the odd spindle sizes to limit their use to machines of the same name as the labels.
Artists include Billy Murray, Arthur Collins, Golden and Hughes, Stanley and Burr, J W Myers, Vess Ossman and others. Some labels are difficult to read.
Records are untested but the majority visually appear to be in good shape, some have scuffs and lite scratches though.
Exceptions include-
1-Standard "Sleep little Baby of Mine" which is cracked
2-United "Way Down Yonder in the Cornfield (edge chip but not in grooves)
3-United "In my Merry Oldsmobile" 2 tight cracks which are inaudible
4-United "Invincible Eagle March" has a tight lamination? crack which is audible- also swishes through dirty spot- needs cleaning
5-United "Virginia Song"- edge chip into first few grooves- also stained lbl).
Two additional records are included. First is an Aretino record. It has a 3" spindle hole, the largest of any commercial record label. Title is The Right Church but the Wrong Pew sung by Collins and Harlan
Second is a Columbia Telegraph Lessons record. It is Lesson #9. It pictures Walter P Phillips, a journalist and telegrapher who developed the Phillips code, a brevity code for telegraph operators. His code first used POTUS, President of the United States, and SCOTUS which is the abbreviation for Supreme Court of the United States (info from Wikipedia).
