This reissue of this obscure Japanese experimental rock group is a fantastic insight into the Japanese underground. Brast Burn share similarities in approach to German post-rock pioneers Faust and Can, and deploy a range of acoustic and electric instruments into a mantra rock that would be worthy of consideration under the Krautrock banner were it not recorded in '70s Japan. No information is provided about the band or members ( )Free form rock, backwards tape collage, and percussion make for a hysterical and outward bound exploration a few decades ahead of its time.
