Thanks for your interest in our listing. A few things first: 1) if you win multiple listings, wait for our invoice as we'd like to combine to save you on shipping; 2) if you need more than seven days to pay, please contact us prior to bidding - we will open an unpaid item case after four days; 3) if you have a request, please contact us prior to bidding; 4) instead of leaving messages in your payment, where we may not see them, please contact us through the "Contact Seller" link;and  5) buyers with a zero (0) feedback rating need to contact us prior to bidding or we'll cancel the bid. We're happy to help you build your reputation on eBay, but we've been at this a few months and have had to relist items that we thought had sold.

Please be aware that for items sold within California, sales tax will apply.

This is Mosaic MR23-123 and has been out of print for years now. Released in 1988, this twenty three LP set is one of the jazz Holy Grails: the first of three sets chronicling the entire output of the great Commodore label from 1929-1957! These sets were all limited to 2,500 copies. Many seminal artists recorded for Commodore including Billie Holiday, Jack Teagarden, Django Reinhardt, Jelly Roll Morton and Lester Young.

The set is used but the records except for number one look virtually unplayed. The box has some minor scuffs. The booklet is in beautiful shape, but has been read and shows that this is one of 2,500 (most early Mosaic sets were unnumbered). This set is rare in this condition.

A lot of jazz aficionados know the name Mosaic Records - they have been restoring and republishing great lost jazz recordings since the early 1980's. As great as the music and the packaging are, the crown jewel of Mosaic sets have always been the enclosed literature: documenting artists' biographies, recording sessions and discographies - they are important jazz historical documents.

Pictures are of the actual item you’re buying. We will ship this Media Mail as eBay treats every music recording equally and does not take into consideration that you can't mail a box set for the price of a single CD. We can also offer Priority Mail if you prefer, but contact us after the sale as we'll have to send an invoice.

Although we're a bit new to selling, we're not new to eBay - we've been members since 1999. We're still getting our feet wet selling so our listings may lack some of the answers you'd like - if so, feel free to ask questions: we'll answer as quickly and forthrightly as we're able.

We've collected quite a few items over time and would now like to free up some storage space, so we'll be listing quite a few CD's, DVD's and other goodies we don't have time to use. Listings will be personalized as time allows.

If you win the auction we kindly ask to receive payment within seven (7) days after the auction's end. We'll work to keep handling times brief but will need at least a day and no more than two (unless it's a weekend) - but let us know if you need a shorter lead time on an item. We will combine shipping where possible on items purchased in the same seven day period; if you buy an item and are interested in another let us know and we'll be very happy to work with you. We generally ship CD's and DVD's First Class or Media Mail and clothing Standard or Priority, but let us know if you have another preference. We also generally ship within the U.S. but will try to work with you if you're outside the U.S.

Thanks again for looking and good luck!
