FELA KUTI Upside-Down / Go Slow w/ Sandra essential AFRO BEAT funk OG Hear it!  ARTIST - Fela Anikulapo Kuti & the African 70
TITLE - Up Side-Down
LABEL/ CATALOG NUMBER - Afrodisia DWAPS 2005
DESCRIPTION - Two stone cold stunners from an artist I suspect may not be a mere mortal - This record has been absolutely indispensable to me, not only because it drives dancefloors wild, but you also have time for a bathroom break and a smoke without losing the crowds interest! Don't be afraid of the grade below, this is definitely play-outable.
CONDITION - G, light marks, slight storage warp (doesn't affect play) and no skips but plays with surface noise that Fela completely overpowers like everything else that ever stood in his way... Please note: Unless stated otherwise all gradings are visual. Audio clips of the actual record for auction are provided for reference, as well as high resolution images of the sleeves. If a link is broken or not working, or you would like any clarifications, please do not hesitate to email us.

LABEL/ SLEEVE DETAILS - VG - small tear on back cover, some creasing in corners - overall excellent, bright, beautiful...

NEAR MINT (NM)

We do not assign Mint or Mint(-) grades, and the Near Mint designation is reserved for records that are visually flawless - as in, not one single mark. All records are graded visually unless otherwise noted, but any record with the Near Mint designation has also been play tested.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)

Records in VG+ condition are in superb condition, but may have a faint mark or imperfection (that does not appear to affect play) holding it back from Near Mint status. A record can still attain this condition with a slight (but audibly imperceptible) warp, but this will always be noted in the description. VG+ records should play with no surface noise, clicks, pops, skips or hiss, as well as retain their luster.

VERY GOOD (VG)

Many of the imperfections found on a VG+ Record are more obvious on a VG record.  VG records have more obvious flaws than their counterparts in better shape. They lack most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. Groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail.

VG records may have some surface noise, especially during the soft passages at a songs intro and ending but should never skip, pop loudly or overpower the music. A record receiving this grade should be a strong play copy, and something we’d personally be willing to play out.

GOOD

Be forewarned, records in G condition are intended as filler copies only and are not recommended for a pleasurable listening experience, though they should still play through without skipping. We typically avoid selling records in this condition unless they are extremely rare and have extra-musical value.
