RUSH, ‘SELF TITLED’ ORIGINAL UK 1st Issue 1974 MERCURY RECORDS LP, CATALOGUE No 9100 011.

Rush is the eponymous debut album by Canadian rock band Rush, released in 1974 and remastered in 1997. Their first release shows much of the hard rock sound typical of many of the popular rock bands emerging from Britain earlier in the decade. Rush were fans of such bands as Led Zeppelin and Cream, and these influences can be heard in most of the songs on this debut album Rush. Original drummer John Rutsey performed all drum parts on the album, but was unable to go on extended tours because of complications with his diabetes and left the band after the album was released. Rutsey wrote some lyrics for the debut, but never submitted them to the band and some new lyrics had to be thrown together. He was soon replaced by Neil Peart.

Both record labels are in Excellent to Excellent Plus condition, superb record labels with just a couple of light signs of play.

Both sides of the beautiful vinyl disc are in superb Excellent Plus condition, beautiful vinyl to both sides, with just a couple of light surface hairlines.

The album plays without faults through all the Tracks.

The LP comes in it’s original white Poly lined record bag, and is protected in it’s original non laminated Picture Sleeve. The sleeve is in superb Excellent condition. No seam splits, NO tears, just a couple of corner bumps, and mild handling signs .

This is a superb example of this original 1974 debut UK self titled LP from Rush.
