Sgt Pepper 1st pressing from 1967 on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix -1/-1. Stampers 2-ALD/4-ALG. The record comes housed in its original mono gatefold cover manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse.[No cut-outs]
Vinyl (Ex-) Has been well cared for and looks to have only seen moderate use. The vinyl surfaces retain much of their original luster. Under close inspection I can barely see a single mark on either side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT- level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with really good clarity and minimal background interference. There's a few very low-level crackles audible in 'She's Leaving Home', but other than that playback is of a really good standard. A thoroughly enjoyable listen.
Cover (VG+) Again, has been looked after. Nice and shiny front and back with no marks. One inch slight seam split at the top of the front cover. A bit of wear to the spine so the text is only partially visible. But in all other respects a very decent example of an original early cover.
