From my own vast private collection gathered over last 45+ years ...these mostly from 1973 - 1978 I had my own Record Store here in Northern California in the 1970's and 80's -and bringing in wonderfully vibrant and amazing Progressive Rock Imports was a top specialty and priority - I was (still am) so nuts about this music that I had 3 different evolving weekly Radio Programs dedicated to it over 20 years - and loved nothing more than turning folks on to these bands and immersing myself and my audience in these exotic sounds. Now it is finally time for me to pass them on - my hardest LPs to part with, some 8 boxes of which I shall be listing throughout this Spring. Many of the leading progenitors of the 1st progressive era, but quite a few more obscure but no less amazing artists of the period. . *Sadly I am NOT FAST at listing and can am lucky to get around 50 up at a time, but they will keep on coming (as I pause between series, to focus on top level packing and immediate shipping) so keep checking back.

Full gloss vinyl has exactly one barely visible, tiny inaudible sleeve mark at edge of side 2, otherwise Like New. Labels are immaculate both sides. .
COVER is EX+
Super clean, laminated gatefold cover is crisp, minty, Like New, front and back; flat and straight edged with sharp corners all around with no wear, creases, soil or marks. The only thing keeping this cover from a true NM grade is that the inside gatefold has light dust-wear at upper, lower edges. Seams and spine 100% intact with no wear or splits.

A milestone of French symphonic progressive rock!

The legendary French space-rock group PULSAR's 2nd album "Strands Of The Future" is one of the classic space prog rock albums of the 70's and featured some of their finest work. Highlighted by the epic 22+ minutes-long title track, it will blow your mind into another dimension. This album has it all...  beautiful, spacy, symphonic progressive music along the lines of PINK FLOYD with great guitar soloing brilliant progressive keyboard flights, layered synth accents and wonderful bass/drum interplay. The atmosphere is enhanced by fantastic passages for mellotron.

The title track "Strands of The Future" is a fantastic epic instrumental work; a true masterpiece of space rock: everything is there: great chord sequences, great sound effects and a superb composition work "Fool's Failure"(10:17) is a masterpiece of dark, symphonic French Progressive rock.

Vocals are sung mostly in English with the exception of the title track, which has a few words sung in native French. Vintage keyboards featured throughout include mellotron, moog and organ. Songs are very well written and give an overall Floydian feel with a mix of ANGE, KING CRIMSON, early GENESIS, and early ELOY albums.

On their debut "Pollen" the media had them promoted as the 'French Pink Floyd', though they were a lot more original than that would suggest, with much use of flute and electronics and that uniquely French sound.

Rated overall a near-masterpiece by many world wide progressive rock collectors, many flatly ready to declare the album one of the best to ever come out of France; probably as good or even better than their much-beloved 3rd LP "Halloween".
