Very Rare Polygon Window Pressing on Warp.
One of the hardest to find records by Richard D James, The Aphex Twin.
Handwriting on label by Richard James.
This 12” never went in to production and only a few test pressings exist.
The only two people I know that have a copy is Richard himself and G at Rephlex.
The catalogue number is WAP 146 and not listed in the official WARP discography as a release.
The tracks are available on the Polygon Window SOSW LP.
They are: Portreath Harbour and Redruth School.
This one was given to me by Richard and it is his hand writing on the label.
At the time he explained the track names and locations in Cornwall and then wrote down the harbour name for me.
Reason For Sale:
This will help contribute to funds needed to pay my remaining fees after 3 years training and to get professionally qualified and ratified in the Autumn.
I have been in touch with Richard today about selling a couple or records that he gave me back in the day and now have his support in doing so in order to raise money to pay my fees.
This will be of interest to serious collectors of Aphex Twin and WARP Records.
Even though I expect this not to be played much, here’s some information on the condition:
There are a few light to medium surface marks, but the record has only ever had a few plays by me only. The A side has a few small static crackles at the start and plays well. The other side has even less lead-in noise and plays well.
Have a listen to sections from both sides of the actual record for sale. Recorded June 24th 2015:
There is a reserve as I am tentative about letting this go for too little.
Buyer pays insured shipping costs to be calculated immediately after auction closes.
Bank Transfer / BACS preferred. Collection in person welcome.
Slip Mats not included.
Thanks... Mike. KK UI MD
