Early in 1978 Tommy Ramone decided to quit performing with the Ramones to concentrate on producing. His place was taken by Marky Ramone and the band moved into their most successful phase both commercially and artistically. By this stage Marky was a fully-fledged member of the band which was now firing on all cylinders.
