Buyer Satisfaction
We are a small business that has been serving Rockford, IL for over 40 years and we have been selling online for about 9 years. We pride ourselves on expert customer service and strive to do what we can to insure your satisfaction, because we believe that nothing is better than being able to communicate with an actual person.
Packaging
Records: Albums that have been opened are prepared by removing the inner sleeve and record from the jacket. Records are gently cleaned using our own special cleaner. They are placed in a heavy duty polyethylene sleeve (with the exception of “lots” which may or may not be placed in a polyethylene sleeve). Custom mailers are used with one corrugated stiffener and two sheets of ¼” bubble wrap for protection and cushioning for records. 45 RPM records are prepared the same way.
Collectibles: Item size and type dictate packing materials. Small items (pinback buttons, pocket calendars etc.) will be packed in padded envelopes with corrugated stiffeners. Larger items will be packed in appropriate sized corrugated boxes with cushioning (cushioning varies from shredded or balled paper to Styrofoam peanuts or bubble wrap depending on item).
Comic Books: When packing comic books we take between 4-10 comics and sandwich them between comic-sized cardboard that we cut to fit. Doing this will help prevent the comics from sliding around and potentially ruining covers/pages. However, before placing them in between the cardboards we flip every other comic upside down to make sure that the comics lay flat due to the staples in the spine. Once the two comic-sized cardboards are sandwiching the comics, we add another larger piece of cardboard to the back, which will help prevent from any corner dings. Once all of the comics in the lot are secured as described, we place them in a special comic box and tightly pad them in packing paper.
Splitting Up Lots
A lot of our listings have multiple items in the same lot, for example, 78s, buttons, magazines. If you would only like one of the items from the lot, we are willing to sell you that one item, unless it is in a full set. However, we will have to charge you more for that item due to the fact that we will then have to pay one of our employees to re-list the rest of the lot again. We are sorry for this inconvenience, but otherwise we would be re-listing items all the time and that is not very cost or time effective.
Shipping
All shipments are via USPS (United States Postal Service) unless package size prohibits in which case we use UPS (United Parcel Service). Record Albums are sent via Media Mail class in the United States unless requested otherwise. 45 RPM records are sent either via First Class or Media Mail in the United States depending on the weight of the item and size of the package. Items other than vinyl records are shipped either Parcel Post or Priority Mail. All packages destined for delivery outside of the United States will be sent via First Class International or Priority Mail International. We will combine shipping when available to reduce costs.
If you are overcharged for shipping we will issue you a refund for whatever the overcharge is.
CUSTOMS VALUES & FEES
We will NOT falsify customs forms for anyone - EVER! We sympathize with Customs fees, but don't ask or expect us to lie for you, it puts us at risk and we will not do it.
If you have to pay customs and/or other fees in your country, this is your responsibility - not ours. If an item sent internationally is returned to us because the buyer refuses to accept it or pay fees imposed by your local government or delivery service, we will not refund the S&H costs if the item is returned to us. Again, these costs are the buyer's responsibility, not the seller's.
Payment
We accept PayPal and other authorized forms of payment per eBay criteria. Payment is expected within five (5) days after auction closes. If you are bidding on auctions set to close at a later time, payment is still required for current wins. We will hold items for a maximum of ten (10) days for combined shipping. You buy, you pay, we ship (or you pick up in the rare case of pick-up only items), you get the merchandise. If payment is not made in the time specified, we will issue an unpaid item notice to eBay and you'll get a strike. The item will be re-listed and you'll be blocked from our auctions.
Returns
Returns are accepted only if the item received does not substantially conform to the original listing description elements. Returned items must be packed in original packing or better, as presented and described in the original listing. We understand that errors or oversights in descriptions can occur. If a buyer elects to keep an item they dispute to be as described we welcome the opportunity to work with you to resolve any conflict amicably. If a return is inevitable and there was not as issue with the listing, the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs (both directions) and the item we receive must be the same item in the same condition as when it left my hands and shipped the same way. Additionally, all returned items must be shipped in the same package that was provided or the same quality level. If an item is returned, buyer agrees to go to conflict resolution to resolve any and all claims against us.
